Mischa Long is a 2003 graduate of Missouri Southern
State University. After graduation, she worked as a
medical floor nurse at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage
Beach. During her husband's deployment to Iraq, Mischa
moved back to the Joplin area to be closer to family and
spend more time with her daughter Alyssa.
After several months, Mischa felt led to volunteer
in a community service a few hours a week. Because of
her own unplanned pregnancy, she felt a connection with
the clients of LifeChoices and a call for her own
involvement. In May 2004, she began volunteering at
LifeChoices, assisting with the STD clinic and pregnancy
counseling. Mischa now works as a clinic nurse at
LifeChoices. She and her husband Josey live in Neosho
and spend any free time at the park with their three
awesome children - Alyssa, Avery & Aiden.
